AMP Capital approached The Place Agency to fix a gap in their ground floor retail space. Following the end of lease of a corner tenancy within their precinct, a replacement was at least 3-6 months away before taking possession of the space. AMP Capital, challenged The Place Agency to work out a way to temporarily activate the space that would provide benefit to their customers, whilst proving a more aesthetic alternative to hoarding.

"The Drawing Room had very quickly become my morning ritual. It was a space I could escape to, relax and enjoy my morning read before heading upstairs to work. It truly was my third space between my office upstairs and my home.
The Drawing Room was a pop up third space that created a warm and inviting room for customers and building tenants to enjoy and relax within. It also allowed for booking of the space, with events held by tenants of the building occurring on a regular basis. The space became widely loved and was used frequently for meetings, catch ups or just hanging out and reading the morning paper.
